SHAPING THE MATERIAL OF THE FUTURE

REINVENTING THE DISCIPLINE

At Bouvet Frères Marine, each new project is born from a blank page. Creation as we see it involves reinventing every aspect of the discipline, with the spirit of the pioneers. For almost 10 years we have been constantly creating and implementing our own concepts. Our machines embody this creative freedom. The developmental stages all begin with a phase of hand drawing and modeling. This is part of what gives our creations this oh so pure aesthetic, which characterizes the brand. Instinctively, we adopted virtual reality (VR) as a design tool so that we could constantly test the ergonomics and aesthetics of our ideas. This process is accompanied by numerous models and prototypes intended to validate our intentions.

INNOVATION AS A DRIVING FORCE

Thanks to the reliability of digital simulation (Computational Fluid Dynamic / CFD), we achieve excellent results in the numerous tests we carry out under real conditions. The cross-referencing of these data allows us to develop solid calculation models, an essential basis for our constant innovation. Our passion for new challenges drives us to reach for excellency and never stop at our own achievements. Each innovation comes with its share of new questions, sometimes opening up unexpected fields of knowledge from which we draw tomorrow's performance. Making technical prowess a standard of Maison Bouvet means constantly taking risks, going where others do not dare venture. The links between our discipline and those of motorsport and aeronautics have always been obvious. Indeed, we pursue the same objectives of lightness and resistance, by using high-performance composite materials like carbon, Kevlar® or even Airex®..

HIGH STANDARDS OF FINISH

The search for perfection pushes the Bouvet brothers to intervene down to the smallest details in the manufacturing of their machines. The Supermarine is entirely handcrafted in France, thanks to the close collaboration we have with our long-standing partners. Thousands of hours of machining are required to manufacture the 120 or so parts that make up the machine. Every element, down to the tiniest detail, is treated with the same passion and made to measure, making each Supermarine unique. Like all assembly operations, the finishing, polishing and buffing steps are carried out manually by specialized technicians. They are the ones who carry out the ultimate tolerance checks, making the final adjustments necessary to deliver a perfect product.
